This unique place is right on the main street (Rt 9) in downtown Berkeley Springs. The town is known for it's history and mineral water spas.. Tari's is a great place to have lunch and you will find wonderful food and great atmosphere. There are stain glass and other local artisan items all over the walls and they are for sale should you want to indulge.

Favorite Dish: Due to the popularity, they are crowded during mealtimes so expect to wait . For shorter waits, go outside tourist season or weekends and slightly outside mealtimes.

This Inn used to be Charles Washington's after General Washington sent him over the mountains to develop Charles Town. It is thought he lived nearby not actually in the building. The restaurant is small and owned by a young couple who serve great food.

You must see Antietam Battlefield if you like civil war history. Also Harper's Ferry. There are many many battlefields and history is all over the area. Antietam is about 5 miles away in the area. They have July 4 fireworks here each year.

Since the Potomac river is right here in the Shenandoah Valley before it drops down to Washiington, there are many things you can do. Rafting, canoeing, kayaking, fishing. Hunting is big in the area in fall and hiking is lovely in spring.

Equipment: There are outfitters nearby in Harper's Ferry for raft trips and float trips.
