    Golden Corral: lunch buffet

by davecallahan Written Oct 31, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you are on the road and need to stop for a not-too-heavy meal, then you might try the lunch buffet at Golden Corral.
For $7.50 per person you get your choice of Chili, Potato and Soups from one of their many buffet lines.

Baked Potato with sour creme and bacon; Sweet Potato with butter; Broccoli and Cheese mix; soups like Chicken Gumbo, Chicken Noodle, Clam Chowder, Vegetable Beef; and medium-hot Chili. Good nutrition and a full stomach. You get your choice of a cold beverage or coffee.
And they have a stack of breads and rolls to choose.

Bob Evans Restaurant: stack of cakes....

by davecallahan Updated Mar 16, 2007

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This restaurant has a full set of menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner but we were there only for breakfast.

Whether you are a hearty eater or go for the lighter fare, whether you need meat or are a vegetarian, Bob Evans breakfast has a choice for you. If you don't see exactly what you want on the menu, the staff will be glad to mix-and-match to satisfy your needs.

Choose from: eggs benedict served with or without meat patties; toast, eggs and sausage; omelets and hash browns; pancake stacks; huge waffles; inch-thick french toast; hot or cold cereals; fruit dishes; danish or muffins; coffee, toast and bacon with tomato juice for last night's hangover. You name it, it's yours.

The decor is booths and tables; dress code is "be decent"; service is fast and courteous (lines may form on holiday mornings; price is reasonable (under $20 for breakfast for two).

    Savannah's Restaurant: Oh Yeah!

Great food. Classy ambience. Located in a 100 year old house. Would be a tremendous place for REALLY impressing someone. Tad bit pricey though, so make sure you're on expenses! The only quirk I noted was that it was a bit dark at our table.
