My spouse and I enjoy dining out. Our favorite places to eat here in Martinsburg are Outback Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesday's, and Golden China. These restaurants consistently provide good service as well as good food.
Favorite Dish: At Outback, try the Alice Springs Chicken, Toowomba Pasta, or Outback Special. The Ruby Tuesdays' Four-Way Platter is excellent. For the best General Tso's Chicken in Martinsburg, go to Golden China - and ask for extra spicy!

Watch out for construction, especially on 1-81 between exits 16 and 13. There is a lot of construction right after you exit at 13 as well - exit 12 is an alternate route. Be aware of speed traps, especially on Route 11 where the speed changes from 40 to 25 mph.

Be aware that most of Martinsburg's outlets have closed in the past few years. The Blue Ridge Outlets have been gone for almost two years, and there are still a lot of travellers stopping off here to visit them. The Tanger Outlet has dwindled to a handful of stores but is still located at exit 13. There are new outlets in Hagerstown, Maryland (Prime Outlets, exit 29B on Rt. 70) and in Leesburg (Leesburg Corner Outlets, Ft. Evans Rd, at Rt. 7 and 15 bypass). For shopping in Martinsburg, try the Martinsburg Mall, or specialty stores downtown.
