On the far east side of Morgantown is the airport. Commercial flights from this airfield are under the name US Airways Express (franchise of Colgan Air, Inc.). These flights are three times daily and go to/from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). The price of a one-way ticket is about $100 and it is about a 1-hour flight (add another hour of ground and runway time).
Colgan Air is the company that runs the passnger flights at the airport. Their website is http://www.colganair.com/ and the flights are to/from Morgantown and Washington, DC. From DC you can get flights to major cities around the world on a separate carrier.

from North (Pittsburgh)
Take I-79 south. get off at any of the Morgantown Exits and you can get downtown.
from east (DC/Baltimore)
take I-68 West.
from south (Charleston, WV or all points south)
take I-79 North.
You can also fly to Morgantown...the planes aren't that big, though, so unless you like to ride in turbo-prop planes, just drive there.
There is also shuttle service (i think) from the Pittsburgh airport. I would call about that first though.
walk, take the PRT (Person Rapid Transit) - the only one in the world like it, taxis ar ok too...The bus system is getting better, but it is kind of unreliable.
Driving is your best bet, but if you are only going downtown, you don't need to drive.

As we were driving through town, we noticed these large tan tubes above and crossing the highways. Later, we were in a shop or restaurant (don't remember which) and asked a local about the tubes. "Hey, that's the purty", he said (meaning the PRT, the Personal Rapid Transit).
The transports are electric-rail driven cars/units running on large rubber tires in tracks within the tubules. Steam heat and wheel wipers keep the tracks free of ice and debris. It is sort of a complicated elevator that moves horizontally from prescribed location to prescribed destination. We did not actually use them ourselves but could see the tops of them over some of the open sections of the routes. They are mostly used for student transport among the many buildings of West Virginia Univ.

Morgantown has a comprehensive public transportation (bus) plan. Through well-assigned destinations and overlapping connection points you can get from point A to point B with as few transfers as possible.
The bus company is called Mountain Line and is a consolidation of many privately owned route managers. One ride, one destination is $0.75 ($0.35 for seniors) and you can buy cost-effective passes that reduce the per-destination cost to $0.40.
see the website below for routes, cost details and lists of destinations.
