    The Capitol Music Hall is the home of Jamboree USA, the second-oldest live country music program in the nation (after the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville). Since 1933, Jamboree USA has featured the hottest and most popular country music stars, and the performances have been broadcast by radio to listeners all over the eastern part of the United States.

    The Capitol Music Hall also features weekly live country music shows on Saturday nights, national Broadway productions, comedy shows, and other types of live entertainment. The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra also performs here.

    Built in 1928, the Capitol Music Hall offers the elegance and intimate charm of the old-time theaters, while at the same time features modern, state-of-the-art facilities.

    The Towngate Theatre has been putting on live theater productions for over 30 years. More than 100,000 people have enjoyed the live performances of this community theater group. The theater company tours regional schools and colleges, conducts a summer Parcel Players program for Ohio Valley high schools and colleges, and encourages the writing of new plays through its Towngate Theatre National Playwriting Contest.

    The Towngate Cinema is also housed in the Towngate Theatre, and offers films on weekends when there are no live performances.

    Elegant dining and dancing in an atmosphere of bygone finery. Movie set style night life for a night to remember. Expensive, but worth every dollar.

    Formal only. This is one of the world's finest resorts and hotels.

    Small towns like Harper's Ferry usually have great places for the hard working residents to kick up their heels on a Friday or Saturday night. Home grown partying is the best.

    • This is a strange meeting of Mtn Dew, natty, gnarly outdoorsy types and good old West Virginia boys and girls. Ring the bell for entrance and get ready to get your groove on. It's small and dark the way a good bar should be. You can shoot pool or just get to know some new people. It's always a good time

    Don't even think of dressing up unless you want people to be really suspicious of you.

    • I was told to go to Morgantown, but I never got the chance to go. Supposedly they have many good clubs and bars.

    • Well, the nightlife is basically just peace and quiet. Camp fires are a possibility, and roasting marshmellows. :-).
