Tamarack
Tamarack is basically a large store just outside Beckley. I would highly recommend visiting this. even if it is sort of a tourist trap. All of the crafts , arts, books, musical instruments, and other things are made by locals and most of it is very nice. I have never seen such incredible stuff made out of glass before!! Most of it was very expensive but we did get a few small items made out of glass, such as some marbles and a small bear. I also got a few bottles of West Virginia wine and some honey. It's not your average tourist trap filled with t-shirts and plastic stuff!! Just the building alone is worth a look. Handmade crafts, made out of glass, wood, ceramics. Local food and wine.
