    The Packers

by cloed Written Aug 31, 2008

Favorite thing: The green bay packers are what green bay is about ! -
The packers are the only team in the NFL that is owned by the people of the town so everyone has an intrest in the going on's of the team and its stars.
I was not there for a game but im told its madness - they start with "tailgate" which is where everyone drives their car to the carpark and cooks on stoves and drinks beer
most people will not have a ticket for the game but that does not stop them getting into the spirit of the game
someone told me that the reason they get drunk before the game is that it is so long and boreing but i cant say if this is true !!

Jesus greets you! @NDA, Green Bay, WI

Fondest memory: My month-long internship at Notre Dame Academy where I had a good opportunity to meet my colleagues and their students.
This is the statue of Jesus Christ at the entrance to the school.
The statue greets everyone who enters the school.
    It's a private Catholic school.

    NATIONAL TRAIN MUSEUM

    by RACCOON1 Written Mar 12, 2005
    BIG BOY # 4407

Favorite thing: If you are interested in history and trains you might visit the National Train Museum in Green Bay.. They have a good collection on display and seem to be improving the facilities as time goes by.

Their pride and joy ( I think ) is BIG BOY # 4407. These big trains were built by Union Pacific , for the sole purpose of hauling ore from Cheyene , Wyoming to Ogden , Utah ove the Wasatch mountains .Twenty five were built and only 8 remain . They weighed 604 tons, were 1342 ft long , could carry 28 tons of coal and 24000 gallons of water . Maximum horespower was 7500 but 6200 HP at 32 mph.

    Bird of a feather

Favorite thing: My brother Eric is a birdwatcher - and he knows the exact name of this creature. He lives out in California (Santa Cruz), so he enjoyed this opportunity to investigate a different habitat. In our short time in the wildlife refuge, he added two completely "new" birds to his birdwatching list. Way to go, Eric!

Fondest memory: I loved the Green Bay Winters. Going sledding as a kid down Firemen's Hill. Playing in the over 20" of snow Green Bay used to get. Those were the good old days.

  • Well, Of course first we'd...

by Sgmurray Written Aug 24, 2002

Favorite thing: Well, Of course first we'd have to take you to lambeau field to see the green bay Packer Hall of fame. The best football team in the NFL. Then we'd take you to the backgammon pub and grill (2920 Rammada Way) , where it has some of the best food at a great price. Then we'd go downtown to Washington Ave and go dancing on the strip of dance clubs and bars. Of coruse the nest morning we would goto the neville Museum and check out the ever changing displays.

Fondest memory: I miss the poeple the most when I am away from Green Bay, for a larger sized town in Wisconsin the people are pretty close knitted. My best memory of Green Bay has to be the Football games I goto.
