The Horse and Plow offers good pub food at the American Club. Especially notable is the extensive beer list, with over a dozen Wisconsin beers on tap. I was a little disappointed that the ambience was generic - they could do more to make this feel like an English-style pub.
On my frequent drives from Marquette to Chicago, "Cucina" - in the Shops at Woodlake - is one of my favorite places to stop for a meal. This is a delightful, tasteful, and accomplished Italian restaurant. Mostly Northern Italian specialties, reasonably priced, with excellent service - "Cucina" is just a few minutes off I-43 and is well worth the effort of finding the place. Open for lunch and dinner.
Favorite Dish: Any of the fish dishes
The Immigrant Room in The American Club Resort - Upscale dining - regional cuisine - fine wines.
The Immigrant is arranged as a series of six rooms decorated to salute the European ethnic mix of early Wisconsin settlers. The room themes are French, Dutch, German Hunt, Normandy, Scandinavian and English.
This is a beautiful place to go year round. The food is the highest quality.
Favorite Dish: I love getting The Kitchen Sink. But make sure you have at least 2-3 friends to share it with. It is huge!
