Little Norway Things to Do

Little Norway is an interesting little historic farmstead about 20 miles west of Madison, just a little past Blue Mounds. Probably of most interest to those of Norwegian ancestry, Little Norway preserves and recreates some of the atmosphere of an early twentieth century Norwegian-american farm. I liked the exhibits of traditional furniture, houseware, and clothing that might have been typical 100 years ago. Guides in traditional Norwegian folk garb show visitors around a series of cottages and work-buildings that provide you with a sense of the hardship of rural life in early 20th century Wisconsin.
