How wonderful that the Kohler family has decided to focus part of their philanthropy in their home town! • Urinal Art at the Kohler Arts Center

And it's not Marcel Duchamp! The Kohler Arts Center commissioned a well-known ceramicist (I don't have his name with me right now) to design and execute the public restrooms at their Sheboygan facility. It's very appropriate for them to do so, as their Kohler family made their bundle selling porcelain bathroom fixtures across America. I didn't get a...

  • Wreck of the Lottie Cooper

The ruins of a 19th century lake schooner, dredged up from Davy Jones' Locker, and reconstructed on Sheboygan's waterfront. The remnants of this vessel give a good impression of what sailing on the Great Lakes must have been like in the glory days of sailing.

  • Now Closed

This is the gem no one seems to have discovered yet. As someone that lived in China, I've gotten very picky about Asian/American restaurants, but this one is great! - I guess no one really did discover it. In less than 6 months it went out of business :( My favorite item is the bubble tea. Their egg rolls are great, and cheap enough that when I...

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: The Sheboygan River makes a big bend as it approaches Lake Michigan. Close to the downtown area, the river is lined with warehouses that have been converted into galleries and restaurants. Many Sheboygians use this stretch of the river as a safe place for their pleasure craft.
