The Japanese

by dlandt

Japanese girls have invaded Wisconsin and have begun to rustle cattle. Although they don't pose a particular threat to tourists, it is advised to be on your guard. If you have chocolate on your person, it is extremely advisable to be careful. Japanese girls may resort to all manner of strategies trying to obtain your chocolate. To that end, be careful of your hands and feet while handling chocolate in the presence of Japanese girls.

Circus World Baraboo Wi

by Eurtravfam

Circus World located in Baraboo Wi is not recommended for Teenagers or your wallet! It looks nice from the outside but it is not fun, it's educational (if you think reading about how America's circus's were sucked up by this monoply of Barnum and Bailey.....etc) This is not a real circus but the "winter" home of the travelling circusWe paid $56.00 for a family of 4, again a 13 year old in Wisconsin is an adult fare :( You will see many many many circus wagons that used to be paraded through the streets of America, but the majority are kept in a large HOT warehouse. The circus is made up of local teens trying to put on a show with limited "animals" Consider going to the local rivers and hiking trails or to some of the natural geographic sites.

Wisconsin Dells

Very crowded and expensive in the summer time. the city has a lot to offer as fun things, but every little thing will cost you and add up in the end. The city is most known for Noah's Ark waterpark which is suggested to be the largest outdoor waterpark. I would say make it a day trip. Go in see the sights and be on your way.My suggestions on what to do:Noah's Ark - get your fill of rides and wave poolsKing Ludwigs go-karts - they have 20-30 some different tracks. Pretty fun and if that is what you want to do all day they offer a day pass for 30 bucks. Be careful they take rough play serious and kick people out quick. As I bought the day pass and was out in 1 hour.....bummerThere a bunch of huge mini golf courses some into the 96 hole range.Ride the ducks - The ducks are these military like vehicles that are half truck and boat. You will see them driving around the town. You take a ride...

Wisconsin Dells is a beautiful part of the state, but stay away from the ultra touristy and gaudy resorts and tourist traps. There are several state parks (Mirror Lake, Rocky Arbor, Devil's Lake) in the near vicinity that are much more representative of the natural beauty of this area.

Wisconsin Dells. I was just there and knew it was a tourist trap going into it. So I wouldn’t expect a novice to be able to avoid it. If you absolutely must…Here are a few absolute Don’ts:1. Don’t buy cheese here. Buy it out in the country, there are plenty of stores.2. Do not, under any circumstances, go to Tommy Bartlett’s water show. Yes, it looks like it would be great. It’s not. Unless you have never seen water skiing before in your life, it is ridicules.3. Don’t wait to buy supplies at the gas station. Unless you have excess money! Here are some Do’s: 1. Camp outside of town if you can. It will save you a bundle. Bass Lake Camp Ground is my suggestion. It’s not fancy but it is close and cheep.2. Buy a coupon book if you are going to be there awhile. They are something like $20, and will pay for themselves. We went to Noah’s water park and saved $20 right there.3. Bring firewood with...
