The Mariner's Trail is a paved and landscaped pedestrian walkway which follows the shoreline of Lake Michigan through Twin Rivers. The six-mile trail connects Two Rivers to Manitowoc, Wisconsin on the South and Point Beach State Forest on the north. It provides a very scenic pathway for those who want to get a bit of exercise. There are public restrooms along the way.
The trail is billed as "the finest shore-hugging, surf-sounding paved six miles of trail anywhere on Lake Michigan's shore." lt is open 24/7 for walkers, runners, wheelchairs, dogs on leashes 15 feet or shorter, bicycles, in line skates and skateboards. Karen and I took advantage of the trail by taking a short walk from Manitowoc to Two Rivers.
