Vacations are suposed to be relaxing! So Be sure and visit a place like Waupaca where the pace of life is slower and folks are friendly. Activities can include shopping in the little quaint shops in King, going for a ride on the paddlewheel boat to tour the Chain of Lakes, visit the Red Mill, the Art Barn, Dane House Antiques, or come just for the Strawberry festival in June. At the lake you can swim in clean lakes with sandy bottoms, fish for perch, trout and even northern. You can boat, water ski, canoe, or jet ski, or do it the old fashioned way and float down the Crystal River on an inner tube. Nearby there is a small zoo, golf courses, and just north of town, you may want to time your visit to coincide with the annual Iola Old Car Show and Swap Meet, one of the largest in the country held in early July.

The Harbor is the greatest secret we found while traveling! They have great food for everyone. It is located right on the water so the view and atmosphere are increadeble. constant live entertainment and fun for the kids too, (which is always a plus). In addition to the restaurant they also have cruise boats, so you are able to take a ride on the lakes or book a party.

Favorite Dish: It is definetly hard to choose but my favorite dish is the grouper plate. their menu is so big it is hard to choose!

Located in the 'mini' Mall... the Woods Restaurant features home cooked meals in quantity and quality you won't find in the big city! It is a lovely place with warm atmophere and friendly staff. Everyone who comes feels special. The most outstanding characteristics of this restaurant are the sizes of the servings and the prices of the meals.

Favorite Dish: My favorite item on the menu is the Baked Haddock. You will get a general platter of fish, seasoned just right, and on the side you will receive enought potatoes and vegetables to feed two people! Because the meals are so generous, it is possible to order a half portion, which seems almost the same size as the full portions. You will always go home home with some in a take home box. Save room for desert too because they have great pies and cakes too.
