    Yellowstone Reginal Airport

by KimberlyAnn Updated Mar 25, 2014

Large jets do not fly into the Yellowstone Reginal Airport (COD), but you can pick up smaller commercial flights from the Denver, Co, and the Salt Lake City, Utah’s airports. If you are flying in and staying at one of the Guest Ranches, many of them will pick you up at the airport upon your arrival.

This small airport offers convenient services for travelers to the Cody area. The terminal also contains a small restaurant. Car Rentals are available at the airport, as well as long-term and short term free parking, should you need it.

Many lodging establishments provide a shuttle service to and from the airport, so if not renting a car, check with your accommodation to see if this service is available.

Flight schedules are available on the airport's Web site or from Delta (Sky West) or United (United Express) airlines.

The airport is located at 2101 Roger Sedam Drive, Cody, WY 82414, and is only a few minutes from town.

Various Ways to See Cody Country

by KimberlyAnn Updated Dec 30, 2013

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Most people arrive by car, as they are on the way to Yellowstone, and only plan a day or two to visit Cody. This is a small town, and if you are able to walk comfortably, you will find that you can easily park, then walk from one end to the other. If you flew into Cody, and plan to explore our beautiful mountain valleys, or visit Yellowstone, you will need a car. Hertz, Budget, and Thrifty car rental agencies are located at the airport. For more information call (307) 587-5096 or see http://www.flyyra.com/parking-transportation

If staying at a Dude Ranch check to see if they supply transportation into town for visiting such things as the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.

You may enjoy the Trolley Tour, which will take you on a 22 mile, one hour historic tour highlighting historical buildings, geology, and attractions. Their web site is www.CodyTrolleyTours.com or you my call for reservations and information at 307-527-7043.

Well, not erally as a native, but certainly in style. These four person rental bikes looked like a lot of fun, but I decided againts it myself. Maybe after a couple of cervezas.
