We ate lunch at this cute little Mexician Cantina. The atmosphere was great and it wasn't that busy when we were there. Like usual Mexican resturants, you get chips/salsa before the meal.
I ate: Veggie Wrap (big portion)
Husband: Chicken quesadillas
I bought a yellow t-shirt with the Merry Piglets design on the back.
Favorite Dish: Margaritas

Although these resturants are not located inside the park, I wanted to add them here as well. All the resturants we ate at are located in Jackson, WY, unless stated otherwise.
My in-laws were in Wyoming the week before us. We ate dinner at this resturant the day we arrived and the night before they departed. They ate here twice before we came because they loved the food.
The food was good! The service left alot to be desired...I think they were short staffed that night. Kinda pricey as well...
I ate: Penne pasta-basil, pine nuts, tomatoes/ garlic bread
Husband: Country fried steak
In-laws:Pecan crusted trout with mashed potatoes
Favorite Dish: Bread basket-
We had a brownie sundae- which wasn't the greatest... a little dried out.

On our way out of Jackson WY, towards Yellowstone NP, we stopped at a little bagel shop. The shop was very cute and trendy. All the art work, done by locals I'm sure, revolved around a bagel.
I ate: Sun-dried Tomato-Olive oil bagel w/cucumbers, tomatoes, spouts; Sport Iced Tea
Husband: Everything bagel with plain cream cheese/ fruit cup; caffe latte

Both mornings we spent in Grand Teton, we had breakfast at the Trapper Grill. The first morning at least we had fantastic mountain views from the dining room. On the second morning it was so foggy, you wouldn't have even know they were out there!
Signal Mountain has two resturants, Trapper Grill is the only one that serves breakfast.
The Peak Resturant next door is a fancier affair that serves dinner. We did not visit though.
Favorite Dish: Both days I had the special muffin, chocolate almond. It was very tasty. The first morning I had eggs benedict, the second I had a simpler dish. Lou had a big Eggs, bacon ect..combo, and the second he had oatmeal. Everything was good, but especially the muffin!

Dornan's Chuckwagon is a fun BarBQue place in the little town of Moose inside the park. You place your order up at the front counter and your food is brought out to you. Seating is on picnic tables outside with spectacular mountain views, or if you prefer, you can sit inside one of their enormous TeePees. (popular with the kids and in rainy weather!)
Favorite Dish: Both Lou and I ordered the BBQ beef sandwich. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure why. I think we were going for the most "chuckwagony" thing on the menu I wasn't bad at all, just out of character for us, and fairly huge, we could have shared one. It came with potato chips. I had a Snake River beer, I think Lou had a coke.
Apparently, they have a fantastic breakfast which includes Sourdough pancakes.

I didn't bother to take a photo of the pizzeria itself with a view like this! They serve pizza, salads, sandwiches, desserts, draft beer, and there is both inside and outdoor seating. Views are outstanding especially with sunny skies.
Open:
11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
early June to early September
Favorite Dish: pizza, what else!

The hotel dates from the 60's and so does this diner, located within Jackson Lake Lodge. Thye do great food in a woolworth's style diner kind of atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: Buffalo Burger (order no more cooked than med rare or else you will end up with a hockey puck in a bun - the meat is kind of low in fat)

When we arrived mid-afternoon the main dining room with wonderful views of the Tetons was closed. So we tried the grill (no view) which has an old-fashioned 50's appearance with continuous winding counters. Service was prompt & friendly, food was good with generous portions.
Favorite Dish: While visiting the Jackson Hole area I had to try the local specialties. Had the buffalo cheesteak at the Pioneer Grill which was tasty and tender.
At Signal Mtn. Lodge (Tetons) tried elk chili. With the tomatoey base one can't tell the difference in meat, could be dog for all I know.
At the Lake Hotel (Yellowstone) tried Elk Medallions for dinner. Excellent meal with a wonderful sauce although the elk is somewhat gamey tasting.....but I suppose that is to be expected.
