This is a wonderful time to be in Lander. I don't think I've ever seen anywhere else that is as obsessed with this holiday! There's an enormous (for such a small town) parade that practically the whole town turns out for, and the fireworks start right afterwards, and last well into the night.
Fondest memory: The best thing about Lander is the friendly people and small shops.

Fondest memory: living on my father and grandfathers 400 acre ranch raising crops and harvestin them and the smell of fresh cut hay and hearing the roar of irrigation canals and water being sucked into outlet head gates leading to the fields and nearby streams
