What I call a "posh nosh" restarant. The steak may not have come with a full plate of fries but it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Just as well that I didn't get a plate of fries as I needed to have room to enjoy the Dark Chocolate & Banana Bead Pudding.

Wyoming's Rib and Chop House is located in the Historic Sheridan Inn, built in 1893. Famous nationally for award-wining babyback ribs, fresh seafood and incredible Certified Angus steaks, the Rib and Chop House has made a name for itself locally with high-energy, jovial staff, and some of the best food this side of the Mississippi. Belly up to Buffalo Bill's original bar for an enormous margarita, or enjoy a hand-cut Buffalo Filet in the same corner where Buffalo Bill drew the plans for the town that bears his name: Cody, Wyoming. From the eclectic music and wild game mounts, to the wide-open views from the enormous veranda. The Rib and Chop House-Sheridan is all about great food in an exciting setting. Historical information is available in both the gift store and lobby, and you can ask just about anybody about the resident ghost- Miss Kate. Open seven days a week, year-round, eating at the Rib and Chop house is a truly pleasurable dining experience.

The Waldorf in Story Wyoming south of Sheridan.
The restaurant is located within a tiny grocery store that must have 50 different kinds of hot sauces. They have antiques unique to Wyoming hanging all over the walls and ceiling. In the summer months the have tables outside the store.
Favorite Dish: They ALWAYS have great specials of the day. Unique dishes made from fresh ingredients. On Saturday nights dry baby back ribs with meat that falls off the bone and carrot cake.

Oliver's offers a varity of fresh breads, pastas, and fish all prepared with flair. It's on Main Street in a traditional building renovated beautifully. The wait staff is probably the best in town.
Favorite Dish: The salmon is prepared with perfection.

My favorite restaurant would have to be Perkin's. Although this is a tourist town, they sure don't have a lot of nice resturants. Twice as many fast food resturants as dine-in. If you like to sit and just have coffee, I would have to recommend Java Moon on North Main St. This shop offers coffee and tea, and some side items. Another option is to get it on the go, since it is on main street where all the shops are.
What I like about Perkin's is that, when it is not packed, it can be quiet and relaxing. So it is nice to enjoy a quiet meal. 24 hour restaurant, closing 1-2 days a week, depending on how busy it is.
Favorite Dish: Favorite menu item at Perkin's would be the Pork Chop & Eggs. I am from the south, what do you expect....LOL. I also like their Fettucinni Alfredo with Porta Bella mushrooms,a side of garlic bread, and iced tea. If it is real late at night, being the night owl that I am, I would go for coffee and sit.
Java Moon, well I usually get a double shot latte with caramel flavoring.

My favorite restaurant is a place called Sanfords' Grub and Pub. The name says it all, it is designed around the TV show. The atmosphere is generally fun, it is very loud,(at times) and is very relaxed. The food is EXELLENT! When they say everything is bigger in Wyoming, this restauant is proof! The silverware looks like farm equipment! Forks the size of pitchforks, spoons the size of soupbowls, ect. The servings match the silverware too! As far as the drinks go, they have 100+ beers and mixed drinks. Local brews, beer on tap, brand names, you name it, they have it!....YUM!!
This restaurants atmosphere is very entertaining, as there is 'junk' hanging all over, nailed to every inch of wall space, and even blocking some of the windows! Most of it is old memorabilia, which is interesting to look at and study. Oh, by the way, one of the first things you will notice when you get seated is the paper towel roll standing upright in the middle of your table....those are your napkins folks!...trust me, they thought of everything!..LOL!!
Favorite Dish: My favorite item on the menu is named the Franchise Burger. They have very humorous named items on their menu...that can keep you entertained for quite some time!...LOL! The Franchise Burger is a 1/2 lb. burger with a cajun fried chicken breast, barbeque sauce, and all the traditional toppings! It comes with two sides, and you order the drink separatly.
