Lower Hamilton Store: Love Souvenirs:-)

by Yaqui

We bought this really neat sculpture and it is still one of my prized nick-nack:-) It's a scultpure of three howling wolves made from the vulcanic rock from Mount St. Helen, Wa. Do you believe that?....I got the biggest kick out of that because it found itself way over in Yellowstone Park Store in Wyoming. It's part of my southwest collection. This store caught my attention because of its beautiful architeture of the knotty pines logs used to decorate the structure. It was built in 1897 as a photo studio for F. Jay Haynes and was located at one time in a different spot. They moved it a little closer to the crosswalk, which was nice and a great way to attract visitors. Its one of the oldest buildings in the Old Faith area.Sept. 4 – Sept. 30: 8AM – 6PMOct. 1 – Nov. 4: 9AM – 5PMReopens mid-December for winter season.Xanterra Parks & ResortsPost Office Box 165Yellowstone National Park...

Sierra Trading Post: Quality and Discounts

You know the catalog, now visit the store! It's Cheyenne's most famous thing after Cheyenne Frontier Days! Only an hour north of Fort Collins if you're in the area for white water kayaking, events at the university or beer tasting in Fort Collins several micro-breweries. Men's and women's clothing. Coats, shoes, sandals, boots. Sportswear. Pearl Izumi bike shorts or La Canadienne boots are good buys. Less than retail.

The Great Outdoor Shop of Pinedale: Outdoor gear

by kokoryko

Before leaving for the wilderness, here is the last stop to do, and where to buy the last supplies; everything for outdoor is there, from the karabiner you suddenly notice you forgot, clothing, fishing hooks and lines, to backpacks or dry food or cereal bars. In this small city, this shop has an incredible choice! And the guys inside know from what they are telling about and know what they are selling! I did not look too long at what they were selling, but great famous brands are there, it means expensive but good quality stuff. They organise fishing lessons, day hikes, rent lamas, etc; . . etc. . . things which I am not exactly fond of, but you may like and can check their website. They also organise “shuttles” to trailheads or at least get you as close as possible; I took an expensive (100 US$, but I had no choice!) ride to the Big Sandy trailhead 55 miles away and the drive to that...

Lou Tauberts Ranch Outfitters: Cowboy (and girl!) Gear in Casper

by Tatianaxanadu

This is a HUGE store full of Western wear. They have everything you could ever want in terms of cowboy clothes and accesories, jeans, shirts, hats, boots, belt buckles, jewlery...If you are after western stuff, you have got to go to this store, they have got mens, ladies and kids sections and they are real friendly. And after you have exhausted yourself shopping, head over to the sandwich shop across the road, where you can make your own sandwich out of fresh fixings and chat with the locals. Depends on what you are after. A pair of basic wrangler jeans wont set you back more then $25, but if you have your heart set on python skin cowboy boots then you better have your credit card handy!
