In my opinions, Mammoth Hot Springs are the most amazing feature of the park. Words cannot adequately describe the exotic and intricate beauty of these springs. Sadly Minerva Terraces, the most beautiful here, has been dry since 2000.

This one lives up to its name. Despite being the furthest walk up the trail this is a must see. By far, it is the most colorful and interesting of the hot springs at mammoth.

When the water is running, this is one of the most sublime areas of the park. The colors, shine in the sun.

    Canary Springs Overflow

The overflow of Canary springs forms a surreal waterfall full of steam and colors. Many of the calcite deposits give the appearance of snow and ice.

Iron gives this Springs its unique color. This is part of a drive on the upper portion of the Mammoth terrace.

This is the first of the terraces you encounter at Mammoth Hot Springs. From below, it has the look of a volcano about to blow.

Orange Spring Mound is an attractive feature due to the striking colors created by thermophiles that live in the hot water. The spring flows from several vents at the top of the mound.

These hot springs are fed from terraced formations along a hillside. However it has seem to lose its lustre as a majority of the terraces have dried up.

This is one of the highlights of the park. It is well worth it to stop & see this tower of cascading minerals.
