    Where the honey?

This is a must see, they are all rescued from the wild for lots of different reasons.
I stayed in West Yellowstone so after breakfast one day I went and spent a few hours here what a time if you get there early {they open at 8am} you might catch the wolfs in there howl.At less than $10 for adults you get a 2 day pass so you can see different bears,as they only allow 4 or so out at a time.

We arrived and departed through West Yellowstone because it had the closest airport to the park entrance. I didn't want to drive great distances as the only licensed driver. When we arrived, we picked up the rental car and drove directly to the Old Faithful Inn. After we left the park, we had one night in West Yellowstone and we mostly ate, slept and uploaded photos to the internet. We didn't avail ourselves of any of the activities that were available in the town.

    West Yellowstone to Madison Junction

    Mule deer in the river

We stayed in the town of W. Yellowstone, MT so that afforded us access to Yellowstone National Park from the western entrance (the $20.00 fee which is good for 7 days and allows access to both Yellowstone NP and Grand Teton NP). Along this 14-mile section of the park, you drive next to the Madison River (which joins the Jefferson River and Gallatin River to form the Missouri River) and can see alpine trees, wildfire devastation/growth (1988 wildfires), Mount Haynes (8235 ft.) and herds of animals (we saw lots of bison on the road as well as mule deer on the river banks).

    stay on trail

If you decide to stay in West Yellowstone there is and Info Center next to the park entrance.I suggest to get the times of eruptions for the next day so you can plan ahead to see them.
