Poisonous snakes in this area---watch where you put your feet and hands. We also have black bears.
Like living in any big city you do have certain dangerous people anddrug addicts. Currently their are plenty here who steal or lie on a regularbasis and even steal in front of you.
We had a lovely apartment right next to lake on the Florida Gulf coast in August. BUT the night chorus of the frogs, especially after rain (which was often) was dreadful - kept us awake for hours.
