Favorite thing:
Pretty much the center of all tourist activity in the city, and despite my best efforts, the area where I spend most of my time. Here you'll find the Village Recoleta, where there are many shops, restaurants and a huge movie theatre. Take a walk outside, and go head down Junin for the longest and most touristy restaurant row in the city. The prices may be a bit higher here, but the food is generally good in most places, and very good in my favorite, El Parrillon de Recoleta.
Across the street is the Cemetario de Recoleta (where you can visit the tomb of Evita, among others), The Basilica Nuestra Senora del Pilar, as well as the Plastic Museum (yes!). And if you are so inclined, check out the swanky and famous Alvear Palace Hotel; the place where royalty and heads of state stay.
Favorite thing: One of the best spots in Buenos Aires.....!!! it is some huge gardens closer to the famous Recoleta graveyard... the best attraction are in sunday afternoon when there are live music (rock) ... traditional handicraft stalls, capoeira dancers and hulk practicers...all per free... i enjoyed a lot there....this was one of the best moments in buenos aires
Favorite thing:
Founded in the 16th century and ruled by the Spanish for approximately 200 years, Buenos Aires prospered in part because of its riverside location and in part because of its industrious inhabitants.
Recent history has seen economic turmoil cost many Portenos their entire life's savings, but people here seem to have borrowed that famous British characteristic, "a stiff upper lip" and are carrying on.
Favorite thing:
This is a square I really like! I used to live at my grandmother's house from 1995 till 2005 and she lives right infront of this square.
Es una plaza que me gusta mucho. Vivi en la casa de mi abuela desde 1995 hasta 2005 y ella vive justo enfrente a esta plaza.
Favorite thing:
It is on the left side of the Basilica of Our Lady of Pilar. Along the cementery?s streets, you will find mausoleums with sculptures by famous local and international artists. Many well-known people are buried here, such as Eva Duarte de Peron (Evita), Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, Juan Manuel de Rosas, Facundo Quiroga and Bartolome Mitre.
Quintana Ave. and Junin st. (daily 7am.-6pm)
Favorite thing: The construction of the church dates back to the 18th century. It is one of the most typical vestiges of the colonial period, and an example of jesuitical architecture. Inside it has a single central nave with several chapels with carvings and images from the 18th century.
Favorite thing:
This is the view of the Buenos Aires design from Av. Pueyrredon.

Favorite thing:
This church is called Iglesia Nuestra Se?ora del Pilar and it's located in Recoleta.
It used to be white and yellow, but they painted all in white some years ago..
In my opinion, it was nicer before...
Esta Iglesia se llama Iglesia Nuestra Se?ora del Pilar y queda en Recoleta.
Solia ser blanca y amarilla, pero la pintaron de blanco hace algunos a?os. En mi opinion, quedaba mas linda antes...
Favorite thing: while trying to get to the famoust cemetery, where Evita Peron, Carlos Gardel and some other argentinian people. i walked through this beautiful area, called RECOLETA. There are so many flats with plenty of little trees outside the windows, and some other are located over some balcons. i really like to see so many vegetations around.
