The National Congress, Buenos Aires
Located at the end of Avenida de Mayo its a lush green square full of trees and gardens where people use to have a bite there or feed pigeons.... Walking by Av Mayo you find the Congreso sq at the end of it... a huge and rectangular square where the main building is at the end as waiting for u .. more or less like Bucharest Parliament ...but nicer !!! lol
After crossing Callao Avenue you are in front of it ...a real huge and spectacular building built in 1906 inspired in Washington DC capitol..
After visit the square as the most sold guides talk about the best option is take the subte and come back to the center ....WRONG idea !!!!
As i try to do always ....looking in hidden nooks or unknown places i kept on walking ahead by Rivadavia Boulevard where there is the Congreso subte stop.... i walked for 4 blocks and turn left to see the Plaza 1? de Mayo ...a little bit disapointed but i could notice other kinda neighbourhood... like a workers one who go to the city to work and come back at evening...the architecture was quite different to other neighbourhoods and most revelaled some blocks further .... !! it wasnt spectacular but different !! ...worth to visit if u have time ....called Balvanera and san Cristobal neigbourhoods

This palace was built by the Italian architect Victor Meano in 1906, and it covers 9,000 mt2.
It is the seat of the country´s Legislative Power, consisting of one Chamber of Senators and another of Deputies. Its most remarkable element is the great dome emerging from the center of the building, which is illuminated at night. Inside the building the most outstanding features are the semi-circular room housing the Deputies Chamber, the library and the “Room of the lost steps”, with its sumptuous decoration.-
