DownTown Matias, Buenos Aires
Cool Sunday evening place with live music and good crowd. Dont mistake this Downtown Matias with the other 2 Downtown Matias this is the corner bar one. By far the best of the Irish bars or at least as Irish as ur gonna get in Buenos Aires. On Sundays its my favorite evening spot to tip a few cervesas, listen to some cool tunes and chat with the ladies. Closes at 0200 but its an early out type of joint and one of the few places to go to on Sundays. Average drink prices

Since it opened its doors in november 1999, Down Town Matias claims to have been "The First Pub In Down Town".
Many people come here for the "after office", to enjoy a beer or 2 and taste one of the more than 100 types of whisky they have.
To eat, it offers a wide variety of international dishes of which the chicken champignon is a good choice.
The menu of the day costs from $12 to $15 (= 5 U$S).
An excellent place to get together with friends and listen to good bands live from Wednesdays to Saturdays.
Dress Code: Whatever you feel comfortable in will do...
I strongly recommend to go there on Thursdays and Sundays at about 10 pm if you want to see a live band playing Sabina`s songs... though it will be a bit crowded, cos many many people are real fans...
or Friday at midnight if you re a u2 fan...
or Saturday midnight if you like rock
and finally, Wednesdays if you like Flamenco.
This is just a local dive irish bar, that has live music several nights a week. go downstairs, and usually from thursday through saturday or sunday, they'll have some sort of live band playing. It's nothing fancy, but it's a good spot to check out local bands. They start late, and not on time, so be prepared. If they say 11pm, it 's probably more like 12:30. (Argentine time)
