Mint was a great place. We showed up early around about 130 or 2am. It was quite dead at that time but those of us who stuck it out had fun. Around about 4am it started cranking up.
It has two main areas. Dance music inside. Rock is outside on the beach. It was fun to move between the two and just get lost in the early morning. I highly recommend this place on a Saturday night while you’re here.
Thanks again to Sof and Coty for the hook ups here.

It is a club and you should dress better than a pub. But I can’t honestly say I noticed a dress code.
Lines to get in get long after 3am. So show up early and wait with a couple drinks is my recommendation.
This place was pretty off the hook. As you've probably figured out right about now, clubbing doesn't really start until about 2 am in the morning and the night when I was there I left at 4am and there was still a huge line to get in.
It was at this moment when I realized how really out of touch I was.
This club is truly mammoth, and I recommend that if really want to get a taste of this place you drop Sofia (sof76) an e-mail and she'll show you the ropes. I don't usually get intimidated in nightclubs, but it's a good thing I had a guide here. Located at the far end of Punta Carrasco and next to the runway of the domestic airport, Mint should have it's own area code. On the big nights, there are 3 different big-name DJs, such as: Beto Resnik, Sebastioa Castro, Alfredo Villafane and Gonzalo Solimano...and if you know those names, you're cooler than me. House, trance, hip-hop and the random chronic cloud are all part of the vibe. Unfortunately for me, the ratio slips to heavy of the male side as the morning wears on. The outside patio is right on the banks of the Plata and is a cool place to chill. Cover 10 pesos
It used to be a GREAT disco arround 2006, now I haven't been there... the place is great, but I don't know about the music they play or the people that goes...
Dress Code:
Not REALLY formal, but nicely dressed.
No es REALMENTE formal, pero hay que ir bien vestido.
One of the coolest spots of Buenos Aires´nightlife. Mint receives some of the best dj's around the world. If you like techno music this is definitely the place to go.
This trendy club gets its peak well after 3am and the party goes on until 9 or 10 am.
If you wanna experience the most fashionable club in Buenos Aires right now, you definitely need to go to Mint.

Trendy & casual.
When I was there in mid-2004, and from what I have been told from people who still live there, Mint is known as the most popular club in BA. It is a very prototypical club, with somewhat stuck people, a large VIP section, and non-stop techno music. One nice addition to this club is a large outdoor area that comes in handy during the summer. Be perpared to wait (and possibly not get in) if your not dressed appropriately or arrive late, they tend to be pretty hardcore at the door at times.

This club is very spacious...which is a good thing, considering how crowded it can get in the wee hours of the morning.
Besides 2 rooms offering different types of dance music, you may even be treated to a performance by a live band. The night we were there, the featured band did an amazing job performing U2 cover songs from the balcony above the dance floor.
I also liked that there were bars spread out around the club so you didn't have to wait long to get a drink.
Only negatives are that the crowd is very young, and when it rains, it is HARD to get a cab back to your hotel. You have to walk a long way from the club entrance to where the taxi drop off is, with no awnings to protect you from the rain.
I had an unbelievable night here. The place brings in international Dj's often. I was privlidged to see Steve Angello play and it was absolutely sick. It was a big event so I'm not sure what the place would be like on a normal night. If there is a big name in town when are you there, you better not miss it. Great sound stystem and setup, beautiful people, and banging music. Incredible night and place.
