Opera Bay - (Used to be El Divino), Buenos Aires

Huge nighclub, a little bit expensive but one of the most famous in Buenos Aires! The design remembers the Opera from Sidney. The ticket is a little bit expensive, something like $30 pesos but it worths because the place is beautiful (it has a great view from Puerto Madero harbor) and the envinroment is amazing (like 5 or more dance floors)..

I've heard that one is the best nightclub in Buenos Aires, it's located on Puerto Madero close to the casinos.

Things don't get started until after 4am there - by 5am it's jammed pack with locals and you can barely move. There will be a line up of people trying to get in at 5:30am. If you go earlier, 2-3am - it's not as packed and there's more tourist there.

It costs about 30 pesos. There's about 5 or 6 rooms that play different types of music and of course sell over priced beverages.

Dress Code: There's no real strict dress code - dressy casual was fine when I went.

From the outside this place looks like a spaceship that went off course and landed in Puerto Moderno. However, the inside is a different story. Opera has been famous for its Wednesday nights but that has been affected somewhat by the emergence of Museo. In spite of this, Opera Bay rules those nights in the summer time due to its huge outdoor area. At times, this place gets fully packed, which is amazing given how big it is between the inside, outside, multiple rooms, and multiple levels. There are bars spread out througout the inside and outside, and the music tends to vary by room. It's hard to call this place a club because the dancing is somewhat limited to a few of the inside areas, and it is more of an afterwork crowd. Weekends are decent too, but not comparable to Wednesdays. Make sure you get there early on Wednesdays too avoid long lines.

Dress Code: Strict. No jeans allowed. I have been there several times when the bouncers absolutely refused to let someone in because they were wearing jeans.

One of the catches about this place is the building itself. There are three dancefloors inside, electronic music in general but some oldies too (no latin music at all).
There's a sort of deck which overlooks the river (actually a canal). The view of Puerto Madero there is beautiful! The lights, the moon above...
Wednesday nights are what we call "After Office". Now, I'd never go on that day as the idea is to show how cool you look in a suit. There are guys who don't wear one at work but put on one just to look like a yuppi. This is as from 7 pm.
So, I've just warned you... now yo do what you want...! :)

Dress Code: Casual. Which striked me, cos I thought the bouncers would be a bit "pestering". But many people, men mostly, were wearing snickers.
Jeans and trainers accepted. Unless you go on a Wednesday...

Probably the best Buenos Aires dance club on Wed and Sat. Its a huge club and like all huge clubs its only good when theres a huge crowd. I found a good mix of people and tunes unlike most dance clubs in BA just playing Techno and thinking there cutting edge cool. The building itself from the exterior is like a knockoff of the Sydney Operah house style and the interior is nothing spectacular lacking in the warmth and character of the smaller clubs. But hey its a big ass dance club and a hell of alot of people drinking, dancing and having fun. Its a meat market which is what dance clubs should be. Drink prices are average for BA hot spots, cover charge seems to varies Overall best club ¨club¨in BA at the moment

This venue, formally known as El Divino, is located just on the water in Puerto Madero. The venue is amazing, and looks like the Sydney Opra house.

Currently it is under new management. There are two rooms inside the venue, a large front room, and a smaller one towards the back. During the summers, the outside is open starting 6 pm, when people gather for dinner and watch the sun set over the port.

Wednessday nights are the most popular nights with trance, house, and pop music.

Dress Code: You can wear whatever you'd like. Many people who are there are in shirts and ties / skirts or dresses.

On wednesdays theres an after office party for those who like to start their night early -unlike whats usual in Buenos Aires- so from 8 pm to 2 a.m u can go have fun at this very posh nightclub with 3 dancefloors and a sushi bar...
