Shamrock, Buenos Aires

This place is a place Mike and I found on our own that was quickly recommended. It is in Recoleta and fairly near where our first apartment was. Walking the neighborhood we stumbled upon it and decided to have a drink. I like it for it is not a bad place. It can be quiet or crazy depending on the crowd. Just felt like a good local.

Shamrock is a great place to start your night or end your night and, although the weekends are more crowded, pretty much every night there are people there. It's a great spot to grab a beer with your buddies. The drinks are cheap (lots of specials), a lot of people there speak english, its a down to earth crowd, the waitresses are friendly, and there is plenty of space and places to sit. On the weekends they open up the downstairs which has a dance floor that normally gets pretty packed. It is a completely different scene from the upstairs which is more laid back. The cover for the downstairs is between 10 and 20 pesos, the upstairs is free.

Dress Code: Pretty lax.

It's a great bar! They have happy hour every night from 9 pm to midnight.
