    La Parolaccia: Mamma mia pasta!

    La Parolaccia del Mare

This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Buenos Aires. I love pasta and the one you get here is really worth trying.
On Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday at lunchtime, it usually gets rather busy, so you may have to wait for around 20 minutes to get a table.
Try to get a table next to the window which overlooks the river (canal), the view there is gorgeous.
There are two Parolaccias: Parolaccia and Parolaccia di Mare. In the latter they have pasta as well as seafood.

Favorite Dish: "Raviol neri al salmone" is awesome! This is black ravioli filled with salmon mousse and it's covered in a spring onions sauce with caviar... two thumbs up!
Also merluza negra (black hake) is another good dish... it just melts in your mouth!

    La Parolaccia: Buona pasta

This restaurant is located in Puerto Madero neighborhood, fancy decoration and excelent pastas. The waiters are young girls very kind, calm ambiance and a little expensive, like always in Puerto Madero area.

Favorite Dish: Tagliatellis with calamari sauce

    La Parolaccia: Great Italian Food

This is a traditional, old school Italian trattoria located in the Belgrano District of Bs As. La Parolaccia serves traditional Italian food, but with a Roman flare. Very popular every day of the week, and for good reason; the food is excellent! I had the Caesar Salad for an appetizer, and it was very good, but where the food really stands out is in the entrees. I has the Ravioli di quatro formaggi (four cheese ravioli). It was served with a light bolognese sauce, which was flavored perfectly -- which is to say not too sweet. Two of my dining companions had the gnocchi (a house specialty), and they raved about them. Gnocchis seem to be very popular in Buenos Aires as they are on every Italian menu, and even on some menus that aren't Italian.

Their wine list is quite extensive collection of Italian wines supplemented by a wonderful variety of local wines.

I give this restaurant very high marks.

La Parolaccia: Great italian in cozy surroundings

I've always loved La Parolaccia and I usually go back anytime I am in Buenos Aires - I especially like the one on Riobamba, which is tucked away a couple steps under the sidewalk and is very cozy and romantic. The Parolaccia in Puerto Madero is a bit more upscale, if a bit dark. The one in Avenida del Libertador in the Belgrano neighbourhood is also one of my favorites.

Food is great in each and everyone of them. Service is attentive, prices are reasonable, and noone ever rushes you (independently of how busy they may be)

Favorite Dish: Always been a fan of the Sorrentinos Caruso (a cheese filled pocket pasta - similar to tortelloni - covered in a cream sauce with ham and gratined with parmesan cheese.

    La Parolaccia

An exquisite selection of plates with fruits of the sea. In full zone chic of Port Madero, this restaurant invites to enjoy its delights of trattoria and of fish and shellfish.

Favorite Dish: I recommend to begin with: an insalata gave mare (salad of calamares, mejillones, pulpo, almejas, shrimps, olive oil and lemon $14). As main: filtel pesci and frutti gave mare grillati (parrillada of fish sword, pollack, pink salmon, calamares, cigala, mejillones, to see and prawns, by $28 eat two persons). Another of the options is merluzzo black scampi and fungui (with prawns, mushrooms, with sauce of cream and congñac $20), or a classical one paella ($28 eat 2).
Of dessert the cup of the house (ice cream of cream, mousse of chocolate, cream chantilli, almonds tostadas, ameretti and jam $7) or a classical one tiramisú.

La Parolaccia: Excellent food, excellent service

This is a very nice Italian restaurant with great food, and excellent service. I went here twice. They also have a "dolce y Caffe' store across the street selling sweets and coffee.

When you sit down, they serve you a complimentary glass of champagne. When you leave, they leve you with a complimentary shot of chilled limoncello (to aid digestion I hear). In between is some very good italian food. Once i had lasagne, and the 2nd time I had gnocchi. If it's your birthday, they'll get about 3 waiters to come over and sing happy birthday in Italian to you, and give you some balloons.

Bill for 2 dinners was about 70pesos....($23)

Favorite Dish: I liked the gnocchi best.

there are several restaurants with the same name in the city. all of them are GREAT! The ne called "la paraloccia di mare" is for seafood. there is also a "la parolaccia dolce" in Libertador, across the street from a regular one (the 1st one) All the pastas are amazing, but don't limit yourself to pasta, the other dishes are as good!
GREAT service in ALL the restaurants and GREAT ambience, a totally winner!

Favorite Dish: "noquis", "sorrentinos a la francesa", pizza

La Parolaccia del Mare: Great fish

When you finally tire of the meat, this is a good place to get good seafood. It's in Puerto Madero, on the river, but the fish comes from all over Argentina, and the Atlantic. The menu is Italian influenced, and is very good.

La Parolacchia del Mare: Frutos do mar em Porto Madero

by rogdias Updated May 20, 2003
