If you're not familiar with the typical food that is made in the north-west part of Argentina (Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy provinces mostly) then you should definitely try this place!. The ambiance is very similar to the one you get in that area of the country (the tables, the glasses, the decoration), although I didn't understand the low lights...
It gets really crowded, so you might have to wait at least 10 minutes to get a table. The prices are really low in comparison with other similar restaurants.
The table-cloth is made of paper, so you are given crayons at the end of the meal to do some doodling... :) Good thing if you're going with kids!
Favorite Dish: If you want to go for northern local food, some musts are: Humita (made with mashed corn, cheese and spices) and Tamales (a sort of flour with minced beef). These two are wrapped in a corn cob. Other specialities: Empanadas, Carbonada. Dessert: Arroz con leche (Rice pudding), Dulce de Cayote (a typical fruit), Goat Cheese with Cayote.
They also serve barbecue, as that is typical all over the country!
I think is a nice place with very good food, and prices!!!!
Favorite Dish: Empanadas, tamales, humita, en hornito de campo.
Desserts: Dulce de cayote en fibra.
