I ordered there Promotional = Empanada Criolla-small hot great I could eat many of these for breakfast. Also Bife De Chorizo- Med Rare- it was great hot juicy. and Homemade cream caramel dessert for # 38+service charge of 5 Peso plus a Pepsi total for 51 peso = $ 13
Favorite Dish: I did like everything i got and would go back again.
For the 38 Peso promo there is about 5 different choice from each item, Entradas, Principales ,dessert.
The closer you walk towards the Cemetary the price goes up and the restaurant more upscale.

I ordered the bife de Chorizo mariposa steak apunto =medium and a small bottle 375 ml of red wine 12% alcohol for 66 pesos . The steak was hot juicy a little tender the wine great for 28 pesos. This place is walking distance from the Recoleta apartment.
Just a steak and a bottle of red wine. It was a large piece of steak. I am full.
66 pesos =$ 17 usa.
Only a couple of local Argentine customers were in there eating while i was there on a 8 pm tuesday night. They had a 42 inch LCD tv on watching news. I was hoping for a soccer game.
The Waitress spoke very little english and i speak a little spanish. But enough to get by.

I had the Pisco sour drink a peruvian drink with booze and egg whites to make the foam frothy top. I also had the Antichuco and Loma Saltado. The lomo-strips of beef with onions, tomotoes, rice and french fries on the bottom on a square type fusion type dish.
The bill came out o 57 pesos.
ceberto 2- service charge of some kind?? YOU TELL ME?? in some places its 5 or 10???
pisco sour 15
antichuco 18
lomo saltado 22
Favorite Dish: The Pisco sour drink was weak i had much stronger one in the city of Cusco-Peru when i was there but Cusco is around 10.000 feet altitude and that might add kick to any type of booze, beer, wine, etc.
Antichuco was Hot tender juicy.
Loma Saltado was tender & hot, fries crispy considering the fries were on the bottom soaking up some of the juice from the beef strips.

Located in Belgrano, a high end residential neighbourhood north of Buenos Aires, Sucre serves a well-executed fusion of Asian and Italian cuisines. The dining room has a sleek industrial look, accentuated by the open kitchen and backlit bar. Although it is located away from the centre of Buenos Aires, Sucre is well worth the 15-20 minute taxi ride.

This casual, very simple yet elegant restaurant serves delicious and well-executed Mediterranean-Argentine dishes. The small dining room has an old world feel to it, with its high ceilings and tiled floors. The food is delicious and refreshingly light, and was perfect for a late lunch after a walk around Palermo, especially when accompanied by the restaurant's local wine selection. Prices are quite low, even when compared to other typical restaurants in Buenos Aires. Social Paraíso is the type of restaurant that one would consider an exceptional "discovery".

This is a beautiful restaurant that serves the best Italian food in a city of good Italian restaurants. The delightful Fabian Ceccardi will welcome you into the restaurant once you find your way up the steep stairs. We were so impressed with our first meal, that we returned a few days later for an encore. They have a decent wine list with fair prices and two great steals. First there was a crisp Lurton Torrontes for $40 pesos (about $11 US) then they had the terrific Tempus Alba Malbec for $74 pesos (about $21 US.)
The Torrontes went beautifully with a delicious pear and arugula salad festooned with crunchy walnuts and blue cheese. It also brightened the quottro formaggi pizza. You can get into the malbec by sequeing with the magnificently salty home dried meat carpaccio with arugula and sweet balsamic vinegar, but the wine will really shine with the incredible homemade pasta dishes. The Amatriciana is simple perfection. There is a very good rigatoni with sausage/tomato ragu. One time the chef made a spectacular oyster mushroom cream sauce fettucine. And lest we forget, there is the house special truffle risotto.
If you like fine Italian food, Amici Miei is an absolute must, but try not to go on Sunday because it is simply swamped with tourists attending the San Telmo fair and their bustle disturbs the ambiance not to mention the quality of service.
Favorite Dish: Arugula salad with walnuts and blue cheese and truffle risotto makes a complete lunch. Add a good bottle of wine and you could be in Tuscany.

A great Argentinian take on molecular gastronomy which is carried off with great aplomb and technical skill, and compares well with Euro offerings. The 11 course tasting menu spans the range of innovative, fun and outstanding dishes. Poached egg in toast with truffle, scallops paired with the most tender lamb I have ever tasted, rib eye with malbec to die for, and a chocolate concoction worth the trip to BsAs alone! Many other highlights, all with a twist that takes them beyond the norm! The sommelier is outstanding and well worth relying on to introduce you to wonderful wines which complement the food. The chef patron, Alejandro Digilio, is keen to talk with guests and even willing to share some secrets if you ask.
While it is more expensive than your normal BsAs restaurant, I still felt like I had robbed the proprietor. 160 pesos per head (before wine, etc) is the best bargain in the city. This is one not to miss, as well as being a welcome break from the standard offerings.
Leave at least three hours for your meal, and take taxis if visiting at night.

Parada Norte has become something of an institution to my visits to Buenos Aires. This started on my very first trip when Mike and I would walk past it and notice people always in just hanging out during the day. Well we finally stepped in on our second to last day of that trip and each had a lomito completo and a couple of beers.
During my more recent visits we’ve started the trip off with a meal here including my visit last week for Cow Do IV where 7 of us met up and got things started nicely.
In the warmer months it is a nice place to sit outside and enjoy a lazy lunch.
Favorite Dish: Lomito Completo. A full meal in itself. This steak sandwich has fries lettuce tomato and a fried egg on it. I'm sure not the healthiest of meals but it sure gave us the excuse to sit there and have another beer while we ate.
Durng Cow Do IV this was our first meal. A few of us were hungry and decided to meet up here. I had my Lomito Competo of course. Rob had some pork dish with sweet potato puree. Liz wasn't that hungry and had the buenos Aires version of Apple Pie which was more like an Apple Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Well, everybody knows what McDonalds is. And it is nothing special food here, but when you are at an airport it is very convenient to get your food quickly and very fast. you eat and then go to the taxfree. You dont want to spend all your day in the airport restaurant.
Favorite Dish: The quarter pounds i guess be my favourite here and then of course a very good strawberry milk shake.

I was here and ate very good food. I ate here with many of my friends and all of them were very happy. At the end of the dinner we got a little shot with taste of cinnamon. Very nice. The good thing was that all my friends did not want them, so I got many shots... Yippie. you can book a table if you mail them to:
