I love this place! Norueguian cuisine, VERY cozy, the drinks are AMAZING, among the best bartenders in the city. They also have a sampling of vodkas, very original. Great for a romatic evening, as well as ging out with a group of friends or to meet new people. AWESOME ambience.

Favorite Dish: salmon

Olssen: Scandinavian food made perfect

Olssen is one of Buenos Aires' top of the list restaurants. The food is simply amazing, the service is outstanding and the restaurant itself is enjoyable: the perfect lights, not a lot of tables, and a good terrace, which is quite enjoyable during warm night.
One thing: d.o make a reservation otherwise you won't get a table.

Favorite Dish: I had a steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Now, it's not just the kind of food you'd eat at your house. It has that perfect cooking, with the right spices and some flavors I didn't quite recognize, but the dish was perfect. Do try the seafood as well, or maybe the poultry.

Scandinavian inspired Olsen

The first thing I noticed about Olsen was it's remarkable ambiance. At the sidewalk, Olsen appears almost as if it were just a fancy fence--renovated wood beams running vertically from top to bottom. Then you enter and walk through an outdoor garden in the front. Various customers lounging amidst greenery and the moonlight. The hostess is at the front right, and asks where you want to sit.

Then you pass into the main dining room. The decor is awesome. It's classy, trendy, cool and suited to any kind of clientele. There is a bar on the right where you can sit to have drinks too. When you sit down, you get a modern, scandinavian inspired menu.

For dinner, you'll pay a small cover charge per person of 3.5 pesos. Average cost of mixed drinks is around 10 pesos. Bottled water runs 3.5 pesos. Appetizers will run anywhere between 10-15 pesos and plato's principales (entree's) will be between 18-24 pesos.

I hate to say it, but I wasn't impressed with the food at Olsen. To be honest, I wouldn't go back for the food, but I would go back for the ambiance and drinks with friends.

As they say, when the cat's gone, the mice run free. Maybe head chef German Martitegui was gone the night I ate dinner there, for the food was a disappointment.

Favorite Dish: The appetizers you get at the very begiining. They are various breads shaped like doughnuts and they give you a delicious cucumber dip on the side. Ambiance is awesome at this place.

Olson

Not only is food great here, but the decor is amazing. it's typical Skandinavian design, with teak wood, sleak lines, and ultra modern. As you enter from the street, you walk through a beautiful garden, and then enter this amazing restaurant. Open for lunch or dinner, this a great place to check out, if only for a drink.

Olsen: Nordic food in Palermo Hollywood

Olsen

Olsen specializes in nordic food and vodka. They have a vodka bar with more than 40 varieties from all over the world. The place is nicely decorated in a modern but cozy minimalist style. Nice people, good service and plenty of new flavours to taste here.

Favorite Dish: I recommend trying the Asparagus with egg on a toast first and then the Bondiola with berries sauce and mashed potatoes.
