Abasto de Buenos Aires

Abasto de Buenos Aires Shopping is one of the buildings with more history of the city, that of the Market of Abasto, main supplier of fruits and vegetables of the Buenos Aires of ends of last century.

Is the largest commercial center of the Capital with 120.000 m2, four levels with more than 186 commercial localities, parking with 1200 garages covers, 12 movie theaters, 1 park of diversions with capacity for 6.000 persons for hour, the Plaza of the Zorzal, a plaza covered and the "Museum of the Children", the unique one in its type in every Latin America.
Abasto de Buenos Aires is more than a Commercial Center. Is the true motor of the renaissance of one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Buenos Aires.

What to buy: Clothes, Shoes, etc....

What to pay: Cheaper than others Shoppings

Originally designed and built to house the city's wholesale fruit and vegetable market in the late 1890's, it was renovated to be a multi-level shopping mall in 1999. It houses a 12 screen movie theater, an indoor amusement park for small children and, of course, a food court.

The stores here are more for middle-class local residents, not tourists. It is not near as upscale as Gallerias Pacifico. For a tourist this is more about seeing the building itself and the architecture than the merchandise.

It's the biggest shopping mall in Capital Federal! it was opened as a shopping mall in 1999 !

the original building was the " City fruits and vegetables market provider" and it was built at the end of the 19th century!

You'll find differents stores for everyone in the family! books stores, men's clothes, women's clothes, computer and electronic, gifts, music, bath and beauty, children's clothes, shoes, toys and games, sports stores.

One of the best shopings centre in buenos aires ...quite further from the Florida str or the downtown because its going up Corrientes boulevard at least for 25 blocks or 2.5 km from 9 de Julio Avenue ..once inside its a gorgeous architectural style and crowded by trendy clothes shops ....cinemas and place to relax and drink something...but the main activity there is getting Euros, pounds or Dollars be crazy buying all kind of stuff thanks to the low prices of everything !!
National brands are really good and so cheap and international ones maybe 60 or 70 % cheaper than in Europe !!

What to buy: men and women clothes

What to pay: not much really .... a quicksilver t shirt could cost in europe around 60 euros ..so expect to pay just 12 or 15 there !!!!!!

The largest (according to their own brochures) mall also probably has the largest food court, complete with ferris wheel, in Buenos Aires.
