Japanese Garden A tranquil escape from the fast pace of urban life (unless you arrive when school tour groups are there) Address/Phone: Corner of Av. Casares and Av. Adolfo Berro. (4804-4922/9141. Hours: Open every day, all year, 10AM - 6PM, with guided tours on Saturdays at 4 and 5PM. Cost: $3 ($1 for children under 10) Zoological Gardens Not in the league of San Diego, London or Toronto, but much better than many urban zoos. The Argentines have not yet caught up with the trend of more natural habitats for animals (dogs in apartment buildings are a common sight), but the zoo does have a good variety of species to see.
