Bariloche - Patagonia

by realde14

It was time to leave the city and head to Bariloche for some serious snowboarding. The view of the Nahuel Huapi Lake from the room was great. The Lago Nahuel Huapi National Park is 531 sq km big, surrounded by the snow-covered peaks of the Cordillera and by forests that cover the lower slopes.

Buenos Aires - Casa Rosada and Plaza de Mayo

by realde14

This is the epicentre of Argentine politics, and due to the crisis, the presidential palace, the Casa Rosada, changed owners very frequently these times...as teh manifestations grow louder and louder on the Plaza de Mayo.

Buenos Aires - Boca

by realde14

When I arrived in Argentina, I hoped that they would win the World Cup. But not only did Argentina not make it past the first round, their arch-rival Brazil ended up winning the whole tournament. Added to this, the economic crisis, the currency devaluation and the gloomy weather. Where was Argentina heading to? As for my self, I headed to Boca, the colorfol Buenos Aires neighborhood, home of soccer club Boca Juniors, Maradona's club, thinking of better times when Argentina was at the top of the (soccer) world.

Don't Go to McDonald's

by Simbiosis

In Buenos Aires you'll always be able to have a great meal for less than U$5...Trust your good instinct and try any small, cosy restaurant you find along the way. We can assure you, you won't be disappointed.

FOSAS

Within the grounds, the mausoleums and vaults contain the legacy of Argentina's past. This is a very elite place. Not anyone can be buried here. You must be well conected. One thing caught my attention, some of the thombes have been looter, vandalized and abandon. This should not be the way your rest ends.

CEMENTERIO RECOLETA

by parsix

Strangely enough this is a "must see" atraction in Buenos Aires. For one it is located in a very wealthy barrio in the city but also because most notorius political figures of Argentina rest here.

WISH BOX

by parsix

Mailboxes are often loaded with hopes. One thing I love is to send and receive post. When sending, there is the whole process of selecting, preparing, shipping, and waiting for it to reach it's destination. When you receive it is the rush of opening, unwraping, and the surprise of the unexpected. It is over all personal. An today that is something that has been lost.

SAN TELMO
