Plaza Serrano, at the corner of Honduras and Jorge Luis Borges is THE place to be on a weekend night. Especially now during carnivale, when theres parades and such through the street, the place is heaving with people! This is a small Argentinian folk bar we found on recommendation from our Australian friends and it was loads of fun! For a 5 peso cover for women, 7 pesos for men, you get to sit and listen to guitar players, see traditional dance shows, or listen to folk music on the loudspeakers. And included in the price is a free bottle of wine or beer for each person! We were able to drink a lot and have a great time all at one place! The website will be able to explain more, check it out!
This bar is the upstairs level of a restaurant and if you want atmosphere, this place OOZES atmosphere. You can take your drink outside on a lovely patio, or sit inside with your friends in the candlelight. Itýs a great place for a couple to sit and be romantic or also for a group of friends to go drink, laugh, and be merry! Itýs lovely here!
With the same style of the great tango orchestras of the forties, a group of great masters tango musicians invites you to listen to our excelent porteña music. Not a tourist trap, the dancers are really perfect professional. Fashinating movements, rampant tighs and his face has ever a sad look (macho que sufre del corazon). No problem.
Besides clubbing and drinking the night away, here's another thing you can do in Buenos Aires.Watching movies....in 'Spanish' reading the subtitles(if you don't understand spanish). I caught an Arnold movie there, can't remember the name, but I sure had some fun in the massive cinema. What shocked me was the fact that after about 10 mins of commercials, they turned the lights on again and there were these junk-food vendors shouting if anyone wanted some munchies. Then after about 5 mins of shouting, they resumed the darkness and got on with the movie. hehehehe. It was an experience.☺ Anything you like.
Well, I did not get any pictures from the clubs that I went, but all I can say is that Argentinians just know how to party! Only problem is they are still partying to the music of the 80's & 90's and of course some current rave hits.☺ Casual
Wonderful place to go to eat something and listen to live music, in our case it was tango with live music and dancers. It is the oldest coffee shop in town. You can dress anything but porteños( Buenos Aires people) like to dress properly and are famous for their elegance.
This is a fun place to go for a drink before clubing thur fri sat , during the week ou can still go there and have a drink because it's aways a busy and fun place to hang out at .Remember in B.A there's aways something to do Dress how every you like.
Tucked away in a residential area are a number of bars and restaurants populated by the Buenos Aires hipsters! Nice people!The area is also populated by street girls, but they are friendly and safe! Anything goes!
In November 2001, we went to a pub outside of Bariloche (on the way to Llao Llao). I think it was the Cervecería Blest. I do have a picture of it. Excellent beer and there was also a little attached shop, so it was also a shopping opportunity. Casual.
