Packing List

Narrow pack is good for Cathedral as you have some maneuvering around rocks. A sombrero to keep the intense sun off your pretty face. Lip balm! Pictures early in the day, the sun is high for about 15 hours a day in the summer. Bring a tent. Not necessary for some of the walks, but makes it a nicer experience.

Patagonia is one of the windiest places on Earth, so keep that in mind when you're packing your clothes. Even moderate temperatures can feel like it's freezing cold because of the windchill. In continental Patagonia it doesn't rain allot, but you could always be in for a surprise, as we were, when experienced a freak snowstorm in what was the beginning of their summer. On Tierra del Fuego, on the other hand, the weather is very changeable with lots of percipitation and also windy.

Take your usual luggage and put clothes for all stations. It depends on where you would like to travel. Don´t use big bags in Buenos Aires! You can be robbed. It´s better to use a little bag or a little bag on your waist. And don´t take a lot of money with you! Major credit cards are well accepted at most restaurants, holtels and places. Only take currance money to travel. Transport is cheaper than in Europe or the United States. Don´t carry ski or heavy clothes. You can rent themor buy our sweaters. They are not expensive! All the usual things and habitual medical kit.Bring your medicines, because medicines here are expensive. Don´t forget to bring with you a medical safe-card like Assist- Card or something like this. Bring your batteries and the charging apparate. You have here practically no places where you can get the right batteries. There is no problem with photocameras and films.

Toilet Paper

Pack a roll of two-ply toilet paper. Usually the hotels (from smaller pensiones to a 4 star hotel in Buenos Aires) supplied very thin paper.
