Oliva is the place to share a unique moment, with the best care and service. The place has a capacity of over one hundred of guests expecting a wooden deck that provides a new space to enjoy a pleasant meal outside.
The food is increible!! I recommend the steak!
A place to meet!
Favorite Dish: The steak with peppers and onions. Bife al disco de arado in spanish
Located in Bahía Blanca, El Mundo de la Parrilla is the best parrilla in the area. Service is excellent and the waiters are very friendly. They have descriptions in English.
The food is exquisite. You can find the typical argentinian Asado served with great salads or french frites. There are also vegetarian options. I recommend you to try the bife de chorizo there. Desserts are amazing, too.
The atmosphere is really nice. The restaurant is decorated with lot of objects of historical value. Also, they have a really complete collection of Florencio Molina Campos' paintings.
In my way to the Patagonia, I would definitely stop in Bahía Blanca just to eat there.
For those looking for a nice and somewhat hip place to have a bite with a good beer, your best option is to head for avenida Alem between Sarmiento and Alsina (near the teatro municipal) where on these 2 blocks you will find one café and a couple of nice restau/bars with a good atmosphere including the cervezeria (bar) Colonial (corner of Alem and Sarmiento) located in an elegant turn of the 20th century house which brews its own beer and makes a wicked stout (cerveza negra)!
Here's a sight which is bound to impress whether one is a birdwatcher or not: every night around sunset, parrots (Cyanoliseus patagonus?) flock in the hundreds in a great cacophony to the eucalyptus trees of Parque de Mayo in Bahia Blanca to find a spot where to spend the night. This activity lasts for about an hour and resumes at sunrise when they leave for the day. Good spots to observe them are around the pond and the skate park near calles Whitcomb, LaFalda and Colombia.
I posted a video of this "parrot invasion" at the following web address (sorry for the poor quality and lack of editing):
