Dancing on their soil

I should clear some thoughts, this is not a "Festival" as we understand the big celebrations where there are a very defined split between artists and spectators.
In the Fiesta of Niquixao still being alive the participative spirit of a whole people celebrating their cultural roots and to express their love for the life and the work they do each day with their hands, the promises of the youth and the future of the land, meaning the sons and daughters.
Then, there are not "artists" and "spectators". Everybody are artists, singers, dancers, cookers, at last, just happy people sharing their modests belongings with their neighbours.
Then dont expect big sceneries with expensives lights or giant speakers and this technological stuffs that sometimes can get singing an animal.
No. Here the people sings with their own voices and their hearts, and dances with their own choreography. The real taste of the land, an ancient tradition where a small town celebrates the life.
The Fiesta is celebrated at the town of El Rodeo, Ambato department (county) every 25 of may, the same day of our national celebration. Please, don't miss this experience of life, you'll never forget this incredible people

Modest, cheap and tranquil, here you will taste the best "empanadas catamarquenias" of the city.
This restaurante is located a few meters from the other I recommended (Las Tinajas), and the owners can be proud of their kitchen.
Of course, they have a wide range of local red wines and from other argentine provinces like La Rioja, Salta or Mendoza, of course.

Favorite Dish: Empanadas catamarquenias, spicy, hot and very tasties. Never forget your glass of thick red local wine.

Nice place downtown the capital city, clean and modestly decorated, the food is simple and traditional, from empanadas catamarquenias till the "locro", along a wide offer of grill meat of cow, goat or sheep.

Favorite Dish: Locro.!!
My favorite dish was, is and will be forever Locro, "irrigated" with a very dark and thick home made red wine.
