Favorite thing: Located in the civic centre, it was built between the years 1884 and 1900. In ?The Grey House?, as it is known, you can find the governor?s oficces and the two cameras of the Parliament (the low camera and the high one)

Favorite thing: This fabulous park of 44 hectares has three diferent levels: the high promenade, the middle and the low promenades, united for ancient outside stairs. Between cascades, you can find a rich vegetation, fountains and several sculptures.-
On the weekends the park is crowded with tourist and local citizens all day long, even at night.

Favorite thing: It was founded in 1870 by the President of the Country in those days, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. It is one of the most important state school in this city.-
It was the first school where people in this country graduated as teachers.-

Favorite thing: It is placed in the centre of town, opossite the main square: "1ro. de Mayo".-
It was built in 1890. This building is a mixture of italian and french styles, which you can mainly admire in the clock and in the bell tower.-
This building is the place where the local authorities work

Favorite thing: This is the most important square in Paraná. Around the square you can find, the Town Hall, the Cathedral and two important schools: "Jose María Torres" and "Justo José de Urquiza" (known as Colegio del Huerto).-

The Cathedral

Favorite thing: The cathedral is located just opposite the main square, “Primero de Mayo”. It was built under the command of Pope Pio XI in bisantine style. Its construction, that began in 1883, has a special architectonic beauty. At the entrance there is a sculture of Saint Peter that is a copy of the one that is in St. Peter´s Basilique. It´s one of the most important cathedrals in this country.-

Favorite thing: It possesses one of the most important collections of rural silverwork in Argentina. It also displays everyday utensils made from leather, horn, iron and wood that were used by settlers in the Entre Ríos province. There is an important collection of firearms of outstanding craftsmanship, such as the “trabucos naranjeros”. A collection of medals, coins and bills allows the visitor to learn about and appreciate the evolution of the province’s different sectors. Photographs, musical materials, catalogues, newspapers, periodicals and books complete this collection.-

St. Michael Church

Favorite thing: It is located on one side of Alvear Square. Its construction began in 1822 and it was finished in 1895. Its style is neogothic in the facade. Inside you can find two images of St. Michael, one of them was brought from Peru.-

Favorite thing: Plaza Alvear (Alvear Square) is another important square in Paraná. It Is located in the centre of the city and on one of its sides, you can find St. Michael´s Church and on the other side there are two museums: "Dr. Pedro E. Martínez" and the historic Museum "Martiniano Leguizamon.-
