Horseback Riding, Mendoza
Last year I visited Mendoza and did the usual wine tours, which were great, actually Andaluna was fantastic. But it wasn't until I was out of the city (overnight) that I really got the sense of what it's like to experience Mendoza province and the majestic Andes. Maybe it was horseback riding with a real Gaucho and then having an awesome Asado with some great Malbec all in the middle of the most tranquil valley that really gave me a chance to just enjoy... I mean all the traffic in Mendoza city, compounded with a fun week in Buenos Aires, this estancia was a perfect respite. It is owned by a nice Italian man and his wife from Chile... check out some of the photos - http://www.fincaarcoiris.com
Me and my Boyfriend did a little tour to a Bodega by horse back riding there, took a nice tour around the Bodega, tasted some wine, and then rode back to the ranch that we origanally came from. There we had a nice BBQ with our tour guide. Argentina is obviously known for their beef, and it was a great BBQ. Then they took us to another Bodega called Wienert. It was a fun, and very knowledgeable trip(if you did not know anything about wine tasting or Bodegas). Everyone who goes there should do this excursion.
