Fondest memory: I grew up reading Horacio Quiroga's stories about the jungle and the wild animals, so the landscape of Province of Misiones always was in my imagination... This was my first (and short) visit to the real Misiones, and the scenery dazzled me: the red soil, the lush vegetation, the mythical Parana river... A symphony in red, green and blue.
Crecí leyendo los cuentos de Horacio Quiroga acerca de la selva y los animales salvajes, por lo que el paisaje de la Provincia de Misiones siempre estuvo en mi imaginación... Esta fue mi primera (y breve) visita a la verdadera Misiones, y el paisaje me deslumbró: la tierra colorada, la vegetación exuberante, el mítico río Paraná... Una sinfonía en rojo, verde y azul.

Favorite thing: Situated at 63 km north of Posadas and 237 km from the Iguazú water falls. The population´s (8000 people) main productive activities are "mate-tea", pine forestration and tourism.
