One thing I learned and loved about this country especially this small city of San Juan is that even though this great country is going through a bad time both with there politics and there economic situation, its a country with lots of history and lots of culture. People are very proud and people are also very humble and kind especially in the city and province of San Juan. This page has been dedicated to Hector who showed me a beautiful and fantastic time, but most of all showed me the true meaning of Love....This picture was taken on my flight leaving Argentina for Chile on Jan 6 2002
One thing I loved about Argentina is that almost everyone has a big grill in there back yard. Thats my friend grilling all kinds of steak and meats. That was a great treat...
This view is from the Jose Marti Street. The architect in this city is very rustic, and there is also a law where it is not allowed to build tall high rises because this is an earthquake zone. In the 1940's a massive earthquick rocked this city and all of the original buildings built by the Spanish in the 17 century were flatened because of this there is no original old colonial town like in most cities in South America. The cathedral in the center of town is a perfect example of a modern building.
