A nice building constructed literally on the sands of the beach, here the mix between seafoods and pastas makes a delicious choice.
I recommend stay in there early, 9 pm for example, or make a reservation before, because after 9:30 by night a crowd invades the place.
Favorite Dish: Home made tagliatellis with King Crabs legs or shrimps sauce.

This is a classic restaurant in Puerto Madryn. It opened its doors about 40 years ago, and anyone who goes to Puerto Madryn can't miss this place.
The restaurant has a very varied menu, going from soups, fish, pasta, meat, to almost anything you can think about. You don't have to wait much to get the food. The restaurant has an excellent team of waiters who can recommend the better dishes, and explain anything you need to know about them.
The only con I found was that the two times I went, I had to wait for a table to be ready. The restaurant was packed! During the high season it's better if you make a reservation.
All in all, a great restaurant worth going!

We wanted to eat cordero patagonico (patagonic lamb). This is a very typical food of the Patagonia, and of course Puerto Madryn. So we asked at our hotel where we could eat a good one, and they recommended us La Vieja Esquina. It's a big restaurant, that was really crowded, but the food came out fast. We really had a great dinner. A restaurant to recommend!
Favorite Dish: Cordero Patagónico (Patagonic Lamb). We were two people, and asked por two portions, and it was so much that we couldn't finish it. Anyway, it wouldn't have been enough if we had asked for only one portion.

Inside the Ecocentro you'll find a nice coffeeshop with an incredible view to the gulf, here you can eat some home made cakes, sweet dishes, sandwiches, or drink a coffee, capuccino, teas, sodas, an argentine wine and a bit more.
Singular tables design, the place is calm and here you can find some books, magazines, modern sculptures, at all somethings like to have a concentration moment, or a relax time looking at the South Atlantic sea.
I really love this place.
Favorite Dish: Lemon Pie or Wales Cake with a strong express coffee.

One of several parrilla's (grill) in town. The exterior looks fun and there's a pleasant family atmosphere inside.
Prices are reasonable but unfortunately this was the worst steak I had in Argentina - slighlty stringy meat which would probably be acceptable anywhere else in the world but not when the local competition is so tough.
5mins away on Avenida Julio A Roca (walking with the beach on your right hand side) is a smart looking restaurant with a white front, large windows and a room that stretches onto a view of the sea. It offers a large selection of fish and meat dishes which are superb (sorry - I've forgotten its name). It's a bit pricier than some of the oher options but well worth the expense.
Favorite Dish: The wine!

Like every right restaurants located beside the ocean, this has a tasty offers of sea foods. But there are more, traditional patagonic recipes, lamb, pastas etc.
With a fine decoration and intimist ambiance the waiters are very attentives. Front of the sea, nice view and expensive, of course.
Favorite Dish: King Crabs. Just fresh King Crabs, may be with a little of mayonnaise, lemon and pepper, but just a delicate touch.

La Vaca y el Pollito (The Cow and the Chicken) is a curious restaurant; I did not eat there, so I do not know if it is a good one (it seems so), but its building is a "must see activity": it is an awesome ark made of wood.
La Vaca y el Pollito es un restaurante muy curioso; no comí allí, por lo que no sé si es bueno (aunque así lo parece), pero el edificio merece una visita: es un arca impresionante de madera.

The meals were included in the trip cost, so we had not any other option to have lunch or dinner; the place chose was La cantina del Náutico, a herewith of a restaurant. The place is spacious (we were 44, and occupied half room), comfortable and nice decorated.
Favorite Dish: The food was so-so (fixed menu); sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but always "eatable".
La comida resultó más o menos (menú fijo); algunas veces buena, algunas no tanto, pero siempre "comible".
