"Pire" is a mapuche aboriginal word meaning "snow".
The Pire Ice Cream shops net is the better and most important of the city and even the province, high quality standards and a home made style of products makes Pire the best option when you want to taste a delicious ice cream.
Eclectic decoration, warm attention (opposed to the cold meaning of "ice creams"...) and a broad variety of tastes from the classical ones to the patagonic forest fruits ice creams are the outstanding characteristics of this local spot.
Of course here you have another options, as breakfasts with a variety of cakes, croissants, coffes, milkshakes etc.
Favorite Dish: Fioridibosco Ice Cream, without any doubt.
On saturdays morning I like to drink a coffe with croissants with cheese and fresh orange juice.
Your first impression is that you're in a bizarre and fine place. Small, polite and with an exotical buffet froid.
here you can choice between an eclectic menu or some sophisicated main courses.
Fresh figs salates, grilled trouts, fried sweet potatoes, "7 hours boiled" patagonic lamb, pastas and more. Young people with a warm attention, you'll be fine for sure. At last, nice wine selection.
Favorite Dish: Try with the "Seven Hours Boiled" patagonic lamb, d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s
Here there aren't too many choices. Cow, lamb, goat or pork meats grilled in the typical argentine style. Grilled with wood coal fire by expertised hands, if you like red meats you'll never regrets this choice.
A wide range options of first plates, wines and argentine style desserts with convenient prices, you tell me later (when you get up if you can...)
Favorite Dish: Grilled neuquen goat, or south patagonia lamb... the best grilled meats
This is the restaurant located at the Hotel Comahue first story, very fine, almost too aristocratic (too many cups and forks for my countryside education...) with an excellent service. Haute Cuisine menu, sophisticated and expensive, but a good manner to expense your money. A large room with separated tables, discrete and silent ambiance, amazing selection of beverages, specially argentine fine wines.
Favorite Dish: Patagonic trout with holland sauce "a les fines herbes", firmly supported with a bottle of freezing chardonnay wine of the "Bodega del Fin del Mundo" (a patagonic wine too)
One of the most recently inaugurated restaurantes of the city, excellent ambiance, kind girls serving the tables and a very fine variety of meals, make it choice very appropiated for a good time among friends tasting plates and drinking delicious wines. Out of lunch and diner times you can enjoy some dishes and beers listening good music on a table placed on the sidewalk under an umbrella. Well worth a visit.
Favorite Dish: Lamb raviolis alla scarparo. Yes, I said lamb, the patagonic ones...
