food was great, ambience excellent.
walked in and looking for a small bite. asked to see the wine list. the waiter (Cesar, greasy hair tied back in a ponytail) recommended we look at wall of wines instead. he took us to the wall to ´help´us, and asked what we were looking for. we were blunt, said something cheap and good. he said this top row is the really expensive stuff, we said, not that, something cheap. he recommended a bottle, we drank it, ordered mojillas (delicious), asked for the bill, and were astounded to see the bottle was literally 3 times the price of any wine we´d had so far.
top that off with his contrite " by the way, tip is not included in the bill" said twice, in case we didn´t catch it the first time... maybe not a huge deal, but in a beautiful little town, where they´re doing everything right to attract the tourist dollar, this stood out garishly. the town is beautiful, service aside form this incident has been incredible...visit, just watch for this guy, he´s deliberatley flleecing tourists...
