Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you are planning a backpack in Tierra del Fuego, the best thing you can do is waterproof your boots. Even if this were a normal place, you'd be fording a lot of ankle deep streams. But it is not normal -- it is owned and operated by voracious beavers, whose ponds are located EVERYWHERE. You'll also want to wear gators to keep water and mud out of your boots.
