As I told you in the "must see activities" this modern train (Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino) remembers the ancient "prisoners train" that used to join the Ushuaia Penitentiary with the forests, where the convicts worked. Nowadays, the ride is quite shorter (about 50 minutes), and runs through the forest, among the mountains and the waterfalls.
Tickets:
Tourist Class: 50 pesos (17 $)
First Class: 75 pesos (25 $)
There are different schedules; check the website if you are interested.

If you are staying in Ushuaia, and you are not going to stay inside the National Park, the best way to visit it (in my humble opinion) is to hire a guided visit in a travel agency: they take you there in a bus or a van, with a local guide.
I used the services of "Tiempo Libre".

No matter which conveyance you choose: if you are going by your own (without a guide), get a map of the Park; it is very easy to get lost here, and the distances are pretty long.
