Carrefour: a great supermarket in Rio Grande
Carrefour is a well known supermarket-chain in France and the rest of europe and after my 10 days in Ushuaia with just local food plus 22 days of cruising in Antarctica with quite a limited culinary display we were really glad to find a real carrefour-market in Rio Grande and it was a large market like in Europe including lots of parkingspaces. My favorite was fresh baguette and some french cheese, that we ate in the car, so we would not waste any time in a restaurant waiting for the waiter... b.t.w.the baguette was 1,28 SRG $ (= 0,40 euros), cheese, ham and fruits are also less expensive than in Europe
