The curious are to be rewarded

by Assenczo Written Sep 6, 2006

Extending your neck and peeking in somebody else’s backyard might enlighten you on the matters of poverty and at the same time introduce you to processes long gone from the urban societies. For example, how to slaughter a pig and what the aftermath is apart from dreaming of a fresh dinner. Other insights could be the observation of “behind the scenes” preparation for the colourful procession of the virgin and some less amicable characters.

    many crosses at the top

Well to get here requires an efford. of course when you want to have an excellent view you have to suffer a bit. when you get at the top you fell really happy. in your way at the top you will see many crosses, people praying some andean rituals. and the most important thing is the beautiful landscape of the lake + the town of Copacabana. see the pic that i have in the intro of copacabana. wow!!! it`s a good place to stay at. and thing about yourself...to tell you the true it`s my favorite one!!!

    TREKKING AROUND THE LAKE...

Yeah, so far this is one of my most interesting trekking that i?ve ever done. all because its beautiful landscapes that it offers.
I had the great change to do it with my good friends.
to be honest, is not easy for people that don?t get use to with the altitude.
i see this because i did the trekking with two countrymen and one friend from Switzerland. In spite of that he?s been in the altitude for two weeks he felt a little bad.
So, if you want to do this, take a lot of medicaments and water with you.

    Horca del Inca

In the Ruins of "Intiwatana" ,the Horca del Inca you find a solar observatory. The pre-columbian cultures have had long before the more famous european scientists detailed knowledge about astronomy. Besides there is "Intikala", or the Incan 'Place of the Sun', where you can see seats carved in the rock which has been used in meeings of the Incas and his counselors.

pristine beaches on Isla del Sol

Yeah, yeah, yeah...you probably expected some pics of us frolicking sans clothes but with no time to spare on our traverse of the island we didn't get to enjoy these secluded beachs. Even on this touristy island, there were loads of great little beaches that are probably rarely trod upon.

how to widen a street in Copacabana

by chancay Written Jan 14, 2003

to amplify a street the workers easily did cut about one meter of the little cementary next to the street. Unfortunately the graves where very near to the street.........
so you can see some clothes and other things...parts of the graves..... don´t get frightened, it didn´t look that horrible.
Hopefully they already managed that little problem....5 years later.
