    doves at Plaza Murillo

Favorite thing: on this place you meet the whole day hundreds of doves.
There is a lot of disposal of typical food in the street, and as at every bigger place in Bolivia you meet here some shoe shiners, the older "señores" with there owns big chairs and the little boys who only have their rag and their shoe polish in their little boxes.

    street salers

Favorite thing: like at every main place in Bolivia there´s always a lot of trouble here, sometimes you find little expositions of painters, always you meet a lot of indigene street salers, shoe shiners etc.

Fondest memory: you can also observe always some older bolivians here relaxing in the sun and having their daily discussions.

el gobierno en la plaza murillo

Favorite thing: Bolivia has got a presidential republic sinde 1967 based on a constitution from 1947.
The official language in Bolivia is spanish, there´s also spoken Cetchua and Aimará. 92,5 % are catholic in Bolivia, it´s the official religion.

The line voltage in Bolivia is 220V /50 Hz, in Potosi it´s 110 V, but most hotels got females for both powers.

    la cathedral

Favorite thing: The cathedral was built in 1835, together with the presidential palace ( also known as "Palacio quemado" = "burnt Palace, because it was burnt various times) and the "Casa de Pedro Domingo Murillo" (house of P.D.Murillo) the main buildings around the Plaza Murillo. P.D.Murillo was a martyr of the independence revolution of 1809 and hanged in the plaza that uses his name now. As often church and state are united at the main place to show their power.
